  summary is that a jw was dfd for child abuse, moved to a new congregation where he was appointed as ms and pioneer.

  he then went on to abuse 4 minors as young as 6 over an extended period of time.. the lawyers are tom mcnamara and irwin zalkin who has been involved in 25 cases of abuse against the watchtower previously.. "the jehovahs witnesses have an insidious problem, an epidemic problem with child sexual abuse with the organization.

  "Basic Pioneer"????????????????

  What a name!!!! Was "Ordinary Pioneer", "Mediocre Pioneer", "Barely A Pioneer", or "Cannon Fodder Pioneer" already taken? How about "Pawn Pioneer"? I kinda think "Unfaithful & Indiscreet Slave Pioneer" has a nice ring to it.

  Absalom, I gotta say, I SO enjoyed this thread. You have got brass balls, amigo. Thanks to the others who also posted from behind enemy lines. This entire thread had me cracking up with laughter.

  The world is on fire. There are scandals within the Borg that are bleeding off millions of dollars and thousands and thousands of followers. There are millions of followers severely struggling financially and with health/mentalhealth issues with no help in sight. The WTBT$ are sitting on a few billion dollars (that we sort of know about). And these ASS-CLOWNS are spending their time, effort, staff and resources creating new sing-songs? NEW FREAKING SONGS?????!!!

  it is expected that at the 2014 annual meeting, usually held the first saturday in october, will serve watchtower leaders well to cover-up all the 100-years of prophetic nonsense.

  rumor has it they are going to celebrate their 100-years of announcing the kingdom in an adroit way by featuring a move of "great" significance to do with the expansion of the governing body to an "apostolic" 12 or some other fantasy idea.. .

  JW's and depression

  i was wondering how many of you suffered badly with depression when you were in "the truth" and if you feel your depression was related to being part of the organisation?

  are you better now you have left or still have issue's?

  whatever your experience's i would be very intrested to know (if you feel you can talk about it.).

  I have been baptized for 25 years. I have seen a lot of people suffer in "the truth". Particularly adult single sisters and married sisters. The JW game is completely rigged against them. It is set up to keep them under control, franticly running fool's errands, unable to seek any real fulfillment in their lives. If we actually could do a comprehensive survey and study of the JW culture and its members I am convinced we would see astronomical levels of depression amongst the women in "the truth". I am also convinced we would see unprecedented rates of highly mysterious illnesses such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, Lupus, etc. Now, I am not minimizing or criticizing the women who have or think they have these illnesses. They are obviously suffering physically. But I am a big believer in the overwhelming stress of living a contrived JW life as the main factor in these women being so sick and so unable to live normal lives.

  What is incredibly sad is that these people who suffer from this depression and very *real-to-them* mysterious illnesses will almost always come to a conclusion, with the help of their fellow devout JW's and the constant stream of "do more, pray more, preach more" bilge from the GB, that they have allowed themselves to be flawed, have not tried hard enough, and that their solution to everything is more field service. They do not step back and take a very real assessment of their life and make very drastic changes to it so as to regain some level of happiness. Instead, that happiness is projected down the road to some fuzzy other life they are expecting to have one day. No value is put on living well in the life they have RIGHT NOW!!!!!! It is the ultimate procrastination. To procrastinate a fulfilling life now for one you assumed is promised to you. So hollow.

  is it possible to raise good kids with out religious morals?

  making up my mind on how to teach my son values in life seems to be an on going struggle of what is right and wrong.

  being raised in a sheltered jw life until after leaving high school seems like going from one extreme to another of being over restrictive or under.

  trying to find that balance.

  I spend a lot of time wondering about how I will teach my kids about God and help achieve a faith without the structure of the JW's. I am proud of the morals and principles I have. They came partly due to my JW upbringing. But, I also realize that it is a cult and I cannot allow my children to experience the risk of being chewed up and spit out by the same cult. I have no answers for you Princess Ashe. I just want you to know I have some of the very same concerns.
